Chapter 20 - The Sovereign Queen

One year after the night at the lake house, I stood on the bow of a private yacht cruising through the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean, the warm summer breeze catching my white silk dress. My phone remained silent, free from toxicity, manipulation, and debt-ridden parasites.

I looked back at the sparkling wake trailing behind the vessel, realizing that every trial had simply been a crucible designed to forge an unbreakable spirit. I had lost a husband who never loved me, but I had found a woman who would never abandon herself.

Arthur stood nearby, handing me a small digital tablet displaying the morning market reports, smiling warmly. “An exceptional quarter, Mrs. Vance. The foundation has already helped over ten thousand women reclaim their financial independence.”

“That’s just the beginning, Arthur,” I said, looking out toward the endless golden horizon where the sun was beginning to rise.
