Chapter 2 - The Bloodline Awakens

The silence that fell over Hangar 4 was absolute.
Marco blinked, a flicker of confusion crossing his face before he threw his head back and laughed loudly. “Listen to her! Calling some random uncle to bail her out! Who are you calling, Isabella? Your imaginary landlord? Your local loan shark?”
Chloe joined in the laughter, though her eyes darted nervously around the hangar. “She’s completely delusional, Marco. Just make her sign the papers so we can head to the gala.”
Before Marco could demand the pen again, a low, ominous rumble echoed from the entrance of the hangar.
All heads snapped toward the sound. A convoy of three matte-black armored Mercedes-Maybachs swept inside the restricted tarmac zone, ignoring airport security barriers entirely. The heavy tires screeched to a halt just ten yards away from the Gulfstream.
The doors flew open in unison. Four towering men in tailored black suits and dark sunglasses stepped out, forming a protective perimeter. From the center vehicle emerged Luca Romano—the legendary enforcer and acting patriarch of the Romano Family. His silver hair was neatly combed, his wool overcoat sweeping around his ankles, and his eyes carried the heavy, terrifying weight of a man who owned half the shipping ports and financial institutions in Southern Europe.
Marco’s laughter died instantly in his throat. The color drained from his face, leaving him looking like a ghost.
“L-Lord Romano?” Marco stammered, stumbling backward half a step. “Sir... what are you doing here? This is a private Bellini family asset dispute—!”
Luca Romano didn't even look at Marco. He walked past him as if he were nothing more than a stray piece of dust on the concrete, his polished leather shoes clicking rhythmically against the floor. He stopped directly in front of Isabella, removed his leather gloves, and bowed his head respectfully.
“Forgive the delay, Princess,” Luca said, his voice deep and resonant. “The air traffic control tower tried to delay our landing clearance. I should have had them shut the whole airport down.”
Isabella offered a cool, composed nod, slipping her phone back into her pocket. “It’s fine, Uncle Luca. But it seems we have an issue with property damage. Mr. Bellini here claims I owe four hundred thousand euros for scratching the tail.”
Luca slowly turned his head. His cold, predatory gaze locked onto Marco Bellini.
