Chapter 3 - The DNA Matrix and the Collapse of Vextor Dynamics**

Back in Phoenix, the family estate was in a state of catastrophic meltdown.

Christopher dropped into a leather armchair, his hands gripping his hair as his uncle, Thomas Lawson, aggressively slammed a stack of preliminary DNA test results onto the mahogany table. The rushed, private paternity test ordered by Evelyn within hours of the confrontation left zero room for doubt.

*Probability of Paternity (Christopher Lawson): 0.0%.*

*Probability of Paternity (Jonathan Lawson / Extended Family Match): 99.9%.*

"You fool," Thomas roared, leaning over Christopher with veins bulging in his neck. "You brought your disgraced brother’s bastard children into this house, registered them under your name, and handed our entire corporate lineage over to the bloodline we spent ten years trying to erase!"

Michelle was sobbing uncontrollably in the corner, her designer dress wrinkled, clutching baby Chloe as two of Evelyn’s security guards blocked the doors. "I didn't know! I swear I didn't know! Jonathan told me... he told me the samples were mixed from an anonymous donor program!"

"Shut up, you scheming parasite," Evelyn snapped, her voice like cracked glass. She stood tall, leaning heavily on her cane, her eyes cold as death. "You thought you could fleece the Lawson family by palming off an exile's offspring as Christopher’s legitimate heirs. You thought you'd bleed our accounts dry once Christopher married you."

Christopher looked up, his face pale, his eyes bloodshot. The reality was crashing down around him with the weight of an avalanche. His company, Vextor Dynamics, was already bleeding cash due to Victoria’s asset recovery lawsuits. His prenuptial agreements with Victoria had stripped him of the stolen capital he used to fund his lavish lifestyle with Michelle. And now, the very children he had weaponized against Victoria—the twins he had bragged about on the phone to break her heart—were living proof of his ultimate humiliation.

"Victoria," Christopher whispered, his voice cracking as he stared blankly at the wall. "She knew. That’s why she signed the divorce papers without a single argument. That’s why she let me walk away."

Evelyn turned sharply, her gaze narrowing. "What did you say?"

"She knew," Christopher repeated, his voice rising in panic and hysterical realization. "She knew everything before I even walked out the door. She watched me boast about my new family, and she just sat back and let me walk straight into the trap."

Before Evelyn could demand further explanation, her phone buzzed violently on the table. It was the chief legal counsel for Lawson Holdings.

Evelyn pressed speakerphone with a trembling hand.

"Madame Lawson," the lawyer’s voice echoed through the silent, tense room. "We have an emergency situation. A federal audit has just been initiated against Vextor Dynamics and all affiliated subsidiaries. Furthermore, a controlling share of voting stock has just been acquired by an independent holding firm named V-Capital LLC."

Evelyn’s breath caught. "Who owns V-Capital?"

There was a brief pause on the line. "Victoria Vance. Sir Christopher’s ex-wife. She now holds the majority lien on all corporate assets, real estate holdings, and trust funds."

The phone call ended with a heavy click.
