Chapter 4 - Marching into the Lion’s Den

Three days later, the united forces of the Rabbit-Clan and the newly awakened loyalist pack remnants marched south toward the obsidian citadel of the Shadow-Fang Empire. The towering fortress of black stone stood as a monument to terror, tyranny, and stolen thrones.

Inside the grand throne room, High Tyrant Malakor sat upon a throne carved from bone, listening to the panicked reports of Baron Vane.

"What do you mean an orphan took the Warrenhold estate?!" Malakor roared, his voice shaking the stone pillars of the hall. "Find him and tear his heart out!"

Before Vane could answer, the massive iron front gates of the citadel imploded with a deafening blast. Dust, smoke, and debris filled the grand hall as Rourke stepped through the ruins, flanked by an army of fierce warriors. He wore a heavy silver-trimmed cloak bearing the crest of the Whitemoon Alpha King, his silver eyes blazing with absolute, unyielding authority.

Lyra marched right beside him, her head held high, embodying the true spirit of a warrior queen.

"Malakor!" Rourke’s voice rang out, echoing off the high vaulted ceilings with the terrifying weight of an apex predator claiming his rightful domain. "Your reign of blood ends tonight!"

Malakor snarled, leaping down from his throne, transforming into a monstrous, hulking alpha beast of pure muscle and razor-sharp claws. "You should have stayed in the slums, boy! I slaughtered your father, and I will gladly finish his line!"

The final war for the throne exploded in a hurricane of steel, fur, and fury. Malakor lunged with blinding speed, aiming a lethal blow at Rourke’s chest. But Rourke anticipated every move, channeling the ancient strength of his ancestors. With a roar that shook the very foundations of the citadel, Rourke parried the blow, flipped the tyrant onto his back, and drove his blade straight into the usurper’s heart, ending decades of terror in a single, definitive strike.
