Chapter 5 - Management, Mercy, and Forever**

Six months later, the sun glistened off the azure waters of the Amalfi Coast, illuminating a sprawling, cliffside luxury resort that had recently become the crown jewel of southern Italy’s hospitality industry.
On the sun-drenched terrace of the resort’s grand villa, Emma Vance—no longer a maid, no longer an employee, but the co-owner and managing director—stood reviewing the grand opening reservation logs. Her new hospitality management firm wasn't just a dream anymore; it was a reality built with her own brilliant mind, backed by a very specific, fiercely honest professional recommendation written by Luca Moretti himself.
Footsteps echoed softly behind her, followed by strong arms wrapping around her waist and a warm chin resting comfortably on her shoulder.
“The prime minister’s private jet just landed at Naples,” Luca murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to her neck. “He says your hotel is the finest establishment in the Mediterranean. I told him he has good taste.”
Emma smiled, leaning back into his embrace. “You only say that because I redesigned the private security detail so your bodyguards don't look like an occupying army in the lobby.”
“They look discreet and professional,” Luca defended with a mock-serious tone. “Just like a proper luxury syndicate front should.”
Emma laughed, turning around in his arms to wrap her hands around his neck. Life had settled into a rhythm that was equal parts dangerous excitement and profound, unshakable peace. Camille Russo was serving a lengthy prison sentence for domestic terrorism and kidnapping, Teresa Moretti had officially retired from matchmaking to focus on spoiling their future grandchildren, and the fake relationship had long since transformed into a real, unbreakable marriage.
“You know,” Emma said, her eyes sparkling with amusement, “technically, you never paid me that double bonus for the fake girlfriend assignment.”
Luca raised an eyebrow, a slow, wicked grin spreading across his face. “Is that so? What kind of compensation are you demanding now, Mrs. Moretti?”
Emma pulled him closer, her voice dropping to a teasing whisper. “Full ownership of your heart, lifetime immunity from your grandmother’s blind dates, and... you still owe me a karaoke duet.”

Luca groaned, burying his face in her hair as he laughed. “Anything. But if I sing ‘Careless Whisper’ again, you’re marrying me all over again.”
“Consider it a deal,” Emma smiled, kissing him deeply as the Mediterranean breeze carried them forward into a future where neither of them would ever have to pretend again.
