Chapter 5 - Legends of the Ironfang Peaks

One year later, the Ironfang Mountains looked entirely different.
The perpetual war of ash and blood that had divided the peaks for a millennium was officially a relic of the past. At the base of the Whisperwind Ravine, where the cold pine forests met the lower volcanic slopes, a grand stone pavilion stood proudly—a monument built by both wolves and dragons to commemorate a new era of unity.
At the center of the sunny plateau, two young figures raced across the emerald grass.
Ignis was no longer a scaly, clumsy runt; he had grown into a magnificent adolescent dragon with sweeping copper wings that gleamed like polished gold in the sunlight, his breath burning with a warm, steady glow. Beside him ran Nox, a sleek, powerful alpha wolf with obsidian-black fur and piercing amber eyes, moving with breathtaking speed and grace.
They leaped over fallen logs together, tumbling into the soft grass in a playful tangle of fur and scales, sending a flock of mountain birds soaring into the clear blue sky.
High above on the central ledge, Warlord Vulgor and Alpha Thorne sat side by side, watching the two young companions with quiet, approving dignity. The bitter hatred that had once poisoned their hearts had been burned away by the innocence and courage of two outcasts who refused to hate because they were told to.

Down in the valley, the dragon clans and wolf packs now traded winter furs for forged mountain steel, living in a fragile, hard-earned harmony that grew stronger with each passing season.
And as the sun began to dip behind the jagged peaks, painting the sky in vibrant shades of gold and copper, a legendary ballad echoed through the mountain winds—the story of the baby dragon who found a trapped wolf pup, and in doing so, forged a bond that saved a world.
