Chapter 3 - The Walk Down the Aisle**

The heavy oak doors of the chapel swung open slowly, revealing the breathtaking expanse of the grand ballroom decorated in cascading white orchids and twinkling fairy lights. As the string quartet struck up the processional melody, I stepped across the threshold. The whispers among the two hundred seated guests died down instantly, replaced by collective gasps of awe.
They weren't looking at a ruined dress; they were looking at a masterpiece. The modified high-low hemline, accented by the dramatic long veil and my confident, unyielding stride, radiated pure power. My father stood at the end of the aisle, tears shining in his eyes as he offered me his arm.
