Chapter 9 - A New Blueprint

Six months later, the grand opening of the Sterling Innovation Center downtown drew a crowd of hundreds.
The building was a masterpiece of modern architecture—bright, open, filled with natural light, and completely independent of any corporate conglomerate or controlling family board.
I stood on the second-floor balcony, looking down at the atrium where young developers, designers, and engineers collaborated freely around sleek wooden tables. My name was engraved on the brass plaque by the entrance: Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Marcus walked up, handing me a glass of sparkling water. “电视台 (The media) outside is asking for a statement about the upcoming final sentencing of Eric and Arthur.”
I took the glass, shaking my head with a faint smile. “No statements, Marcus. Let the court records speak for themselves. We don't need press releases to define our future anymore.”
