Chapter 4 - The Fall of the House of Voss**

The night sky over Richmond was pitch black as three unmarked tactical vans rolled silently down the winding, wooded private drive leading to the sprawling iron gates of the Voss family estate. There were no sirens, no flashing lights, and no warning. Just the absolute, crushing silence of a precision military and federal raid.
Inside the lead van, Jax checked the digital tactical map on his tablet while Miller verified our communications blackout frequencies, ensuring no emergency calls could leave the estate.
“Perimeter secure,” Miller reported quietly. “Cameras disabled. Motion sensors spoofed.”
I sat in the middle seat, checking the magazine of my sidearm, my mind entirely focused on the man who had ordered his thugs to break my wife’s legs. Cameron Voss thought his father’s billions bought him immunity from the consequences of his actions. Tonight, he was going to learn that some debts could only be paid in full.
“Team, listen up,” I spoke into the comms channel, my voice steady and commanding. “We are here to secure evidence, execute federal arrest warrants, and extract Richard and Cameron Voss. Lethal force is authorized only if fired upon. But make no mistake: we leave nothing standing.”
The vans stopped fifty yards from the main mansion. The heavy rear doors swung open, and eight federal agents accompanied by four Ghost Squad operators poured out into the courtyard like shadows.
We bypassed the front doors, moving swiftly through the side service entrance. The high-tech security locks didn't even slow down our electronic breaching kit. With a soft pneumatic hiss, the heavy oak doors slid open, and we flooded into the grand marble foyer.
Private security guards hired by the Voss family barely had time to draw their weapons before Jax and our team had them disarmed, zip-tied, and secured against the wall in under thirty seconds.
“Clear!” Jax barked, moving toward the grand staircase leading to the upper master suites.
We swept through the opulent hallways, past priceless artwork and gilded chandeliers that had been bought and paid for with corruption, extortion, and human suffering.
When we reached the massive double doors of the master bedroom on the top floor, I didn't bother knocking. I raised my boot and delivered a devastating front kick directly beside the heavy brass lock. The reinforced wooden frame splintered, and the doors slammed wide open against the interior walls.
Inside, the room was bathed in dim amber light. Cameron Voss was sitting up in a king-sized silk bed, wrapped in a designer bathrobe, blinking sleepily against the sudden intrusion with a glass of scotch in his hand. Standing beside him in a panic was his aging billionaire father, Richard Voss, clad in silk pajamas and stammering with outraged fury.
“What is the meaning of this?!” Richard Voss screamed, pointing a shaking finger at us. “I am a personal friend of the governor! I’ll have every single one of your badges by morning! Do you know who I am?!”
I stepped forward into the center of the bedroom, my tactical helmet off, my face cast in hard, unyielding shadow.
Cameron squinted through the dim light, his arrogant expression slowly fracturing as recognition set in. The glass of scotch slipped from his fingers, shattering against the Persian rug with a loud, sharp crack.
“You...” Cameron whispered, the blood draining completely from his face. “You’re the soldier... the husband.”
“That’s right, Cameron,” I said, walking slowly toward the bed until I stood right at the footboard, staring down into his terrified eyes. “You told me on the phone to come do something about it. So I brought a few friends.”
Cameron scrambled backward against the headboard, his voice rising in hysterical panic. “Dad! Do something! Call the sheriff! Call someone!”
“Sheriff Nathan Cole was arrested thirty minutes ago at his home on federal racketeering charges,” Agent Vance announced calmly as he walked into the bedroom behind us, holding a pair of heavy steel handcuffs.
Richard Voss slumped against the nightstand, his knees buckling as the terrifying realization washed over him that his entire criminal empire had collapsed in a single night.
Jax stepped forward, grabbed Cameron by the collar of his silk bathrobe, yanked him roughly out of bed, and slammed him face-first against the mattress to cuff his wrists behind his back.

“You broke my wife’s legs,” I said quietly, leaning down until my lips were inches from Cameron’s ear. “Now you’re going to break behind bars for the rest of your natural life.”
