Chapter 2 - The DNA of Chaos

Lorenzo stared at the five tiny replicas standing before him, his mind completely blanking for the first time in his thirty-five years of life. He had enemies who tried to blow up his cars, betray his lieutenants, and steal his shipments, but nothing—absolutely nothing—had prepared him for an ambush by his own secret quintuplets.

"Who taught you how to bypass a military-grade quantum firewall?" Lorenzo demanded, his voice dropping into the low, dangerous register that usually made grown mob bosses beg for mercy.

The leader—who the others whispered among themselves to call Maya—slid off the armchair, marched right up to the obsidian desk, and slammed a heavy, encrypted flash drive onto the polished wood.

"Uncle Viktor taught us the basics when we were four," Maya replied smoothly, tilting her chin up. "We taught ourselves the rest while hiding in your Swiss bank accounts for the last three weeks. By the way, your offshore holdings in the Cayman Islands are terribly mismanaged. We diversified your portfolio into crypto and decentralized asset funds. You're welcome."

Lorenzo’s gaze darted from the flash drive to the other four girls. There was Chloe, who was currently dismantling a decorative gold fountain pen with a paperclip; Lily, who was meticulously sketching floor plans of the building on a legal pad; Zoe, who was eating a stolen jelly doughnut from his private executive stash; and Mia, who was quietly reprogramming his secure terminal using a tiny Bluetooth device.

"Viktor," Lorenzo muttered through gritted teeth, promising himself he would feed his chief of security to the harbor sharks by morning. "He was supposed to keep you safe in Prague."

"Uncle Viktor tried," Maya said, her eyes flashing with a sharp, calculating intelligence. "Then the Bratva bombed our safehouse three days ago, so we stole his private jet, flew across the Atlantic, and decided it was time to meet the legendary Mafia King face-to-face."

Before Lorenzo could process the sheer scale of the logistical nightmare unfolding in his office, the heavy steel reinforced doors shook violently as an explosion echoed from the hallway outside.
