The autumn breeze rustled the golden leaves overhead as Annie came running back toward them, holding a brilliant red maple leaf like a trophy.
"Mommy! Daddy! Look what I found! It's shaped like a heart!"
Lillian laughed, bending down to scoop Annie up into her arms, while Yale wrapped his arms around both of them, lifting them both off the ground in a tight, joyful embrace.
