Chapter 3 - The Ghost of the Black-Ops Division Awakens

The military-grade satellite beacon pulsed with a silent, blinding frequency, transmitting a high-priority priority-one recall code across secure channels routed from Fort Meade straight to a black-site tactical staging ground eighty miles away.

Within forty-five minutes, the serene afternoon sky over Willow Creek Farm was torn apart by the deafening, thunderous roar of twin turbine engines.

*Thwump-thwump-thwump!*

The wind kicked up into a violent gale, blowing patio furniture across the lawn and sending Eleanor’s expensive wide-brimmed hat flying across the pasture. Jake, Chloe, and the rest of the family shielded their eyes, stumbling backward in absolute terror as two massive, matte-black MH-60 Black Hawk helicopters swept low over the cornfields, descending with military precision right onto the farm’s central hay field.

Dust and hay swirled in a chaotic hurricane. The heavy steel side doors slid open with a metallic crash, and twelve fully-armed tactical operators in high-altitude combat gear, night-vision mounts, and carbon-fiber helmets fast-roped onto the sod.

Jake’s face drained of all color, his jaw dropping so low it nearly touched his designer tie. "What... what is this?! Is this the military?! Who called the army?!"

Hanna didn't flinch. She stood tall, walking calmly toward the lead tactical officer—a grizzled, barrel-chested Master Sergeant who snapped to attention and delivered a razor-sharp salute the second he locked eyes with her.

"Operator Carter! Reporting for duty, Captain!" the sergeant roared over the deafening whine of the idling rotors.

"At ease, Sergeant," Hanna replied crisply, returning the salute with effortless, lethal grace. "It seems my local property lease is being disputed by a few uninvited squatters. I require immediate asset retrieval, title verification, and corporate audit enforcement."

Chloe began to hyperventilate, clutching Jake’s arm with trembling fingers. "Jake... who is she?! What is happening?!"

"I... I don't know!" Jake stammered, shaking in his expensive leather shoes as three tactical operators jogged toward them, zip-ties and encrypted tablet terminals in hand.

Marcus tried to run toward his luxury SUV, but two operators intercepted him in half a second, sweeping his legs out from under him and pinning him neatly to the gravel driveway with absolute, effortless efficiency.

"Federal asset recovery team! Nobody move!" shouted an investigator stepping out of the second helicopter, wearing a sharp federal prosecutor’s suit and carrying a heavy leather briefcase. He walked straight up to Eleanor and shoved a thick stack of federal injunction documents into her chest.

"Eleanor Carter, you are being served with federal warrants for mail fraud, probate forgery, extortion, and interstate embezzlement of government-subsidized agricultural grants," the federal prosecutor announced loudly. "Furthermore, the farm title transfer you attempted to file this morning has been declared null and void by federal magistrate order."
