Chapter 4 - The Sanctuary of the Library**

Down in the sprawling private library, surrounded by thousands of leather-bound books and heavy mahogany shelves, Leo sat quietly at a reading table with a sketchbook open in front of him. He was coloring with a box of colored pencils, though his small hands still trembled slightly from the shock of the afternoon’s confrontation on the lawn.

The heavy oak door creaked open softly.

Leo looked up, his wide, expressive eyes meeting his father’s. For a second, the boy looked nervous, as if he expected to be scolded for wandering into the restricted greenhouse area where he had found the metal box.

Dante walked slowly across the Persian rug, pulling out the wooden chair directly beside his son and sitting down. The intimidating, ruthless Mafia boss melted away instantly, leaving behind only a loving father.

“How are you feeling, buddy?” Dante asked gently, reaching out to brush a stray lock of dark hair from Leo’s forehead.

“I’m okay, Dad,” Leo whispered, looking down at his drawing. It was an architectural sketch of a grand fortress with tall, strong stone walls protecting a quiet, peaceful courtyard inside. “I’m sorry I went into the greenhouse. I just wanted to find a quiet place to draw where nobody would bother me.”

Dante gently placed his hand over Leo’s small fingers, stopping him from coloring.

“Listen to me, Leo,” Dante said, his voice deep, steady, and filled with fierce, unconditional pride. “You never have to apologize for exploring, for reading, or for being who you are. You don't have to be tough like Javier or ruthless like the men who work for me. Your mind, your creativity, and your gentle heart are your greatest strengths. Never let anyone make you feel small for having them.”

Leo blinked, a small, bright smile slowly spreading across his face. “Really, Dad?”

“Really,” Dante smiled, pulling the boy into a warm, protective embrace that made Leo feel safer than the strongest fortress in the world. “And that paper you found today? Because of your curiosity, you didn't just find a piece of history—you protected our family from a snake in the grass. I’m prouder of you than you will ever know.”

As Dante held his son close in the quiet warmth of the library, he knew the syndicate was entering a new era. The corruption had been cut out by the root, the enemies had been exposed, and the Romano name was finally secure.
