Chapter 3 - The Discovery**

The threat hung in the air, thick and suffocating, as Brody pushed past the frozen group in the foyer and sprinted out toward the side garage doors. He had spotted the pile of cardboard boxes through the side windows, and his heart hammered violently against his ribs.
"Waverly!" Brody screamed over the drumming roar of the rain, throwing his shoulder against the side entrance.
The door yielded, and Brody stumbled into the damp, dim garage. The harsh overhead fluorescent light flickered on. And there, huddled in the space between a stack of nursing textbooks and a wet cardboard box labeled Baby Clothes, lay Waverly.
Her face was deathly pale, slick with a mixture of rain and cold sweat. Her lips were tinted blue, and her hands were curled tightly into fists as another agonizing contraction tore through her abdominal wall, forcing a breathless, whimpering cry from her throat.
"Oh, God... Waverly," Brody choked out, dropping to his knees on the freezing concrete regardless of the water soaking through his jeans. He pulled off his heavy leather jacket and draped it over her shivering shoulders, his hands trembling so violently he could barely button it. "Waverly, look at me. I've got you. Pierce! Marshall! She's out here!"
Within seconds, heavy footsteps thundered into the garage. Pierce was the first to arrive, his expression instantly transforming from cold fury into fierce, protective panic as he dropped beside his sister. He didn't waste a single breath on words. He scooped Waverly up into his strong, steady arms as if she weighed nothing at all, ignoring the rain soaking into his own chest.
"Marshall, start the truck," Pierce ordered, his voice dropping into commander mode. "Devlin, clear the driveway. Brody, stay right beside her head and keep her talking. We're going to Mercy Hospital right now, and God help anyone who tries to stop us."
As Pierce carried Waverly past the open garage door, Genevieve peeked out from the formal dining room, her eyes wide with nervous disdain. She looked at the soaked, shivering pregnant woman in Pierce's arms and sneered, adjusting her diamond necklace. "Honestly, what did she expect? Playing the victim card in a storm just to get attention—"
Devlin stopped dead in his tracks. He slowly turned his head toward the blonde woman standing safely in the warm, dry hallway. The look in Devlin’s eyes made Genevieve instantly step backward, her breath catching in her throat.

"If you ever speak her name with that filthy mouth again," Devlin said softly, stepping across the threshold into the house, "I won't care that you're a woman. I will rip this entire house down around your ears."
Harrison, still pinned against the hallway wall by Marshall, watched in stunned silence as his entire world fractured in less than five minutes. He had believed his wealth, his armed guards, and his syndicate connections made him untouchable. But as he looked into the eyes of the four Tate brothers, he realized a terrifying truth: he had declared war on a pack of wolves, and they had just entered his den to tear him apart.
