Chapter 3 - The Web Unravels**

Over the next seventy-two hours, Victoria and her elite team of forensic digital investigators dismantled Daniel, Margaret, and Jessica’s lives with terrifying precision.
By utilizing advanced metadata extraction tools, Victoria’s cyber experts traced the origin of the fake screenshots Margaret had shoved in my face on the day of the confrontation. The messages hadn't come from an unknown man's phone; they had been generated using a specialized spoofing application downloaded onto an iPad registered directly to Jessica’s corporate email address at Daniel’s firm. Furthermore, financial records subpoenaed under an emergency civil freeze order revealed something even more sickening.
Two months prior, Daniel and Jessica had opened a joint offshore LLC in the Cayman Islands, funded by liquidating fifty thousand dollars from my personal pre-marital savings account—an account Daniel had managed under a power of attorney I foolishly granted him during our first year of marriage. They weren't just sleeping together; they were actively laundering my money to finance a luxury condo in Miami where they planned to live once I had been legally sidelined and my baby was out of the picture.
On Friday morning, Victoria called me into her high-rise glass office overlooking Central Park. She slid a thick, bound dossier across the mahogany conference table.
"We have them, Emily," Victoria said, a triumphant smile touching her lips. "This isn't just grounds for a standard divorce anymore. We are looking at criminal conspiracy, mail fraud, grand larceny, domestic abuse, and attempted financial disenfranchisement of a minor. The District Attorney’s office has already reviewed the evidence. They are prepared to issue arrest warrants."
I opened the dossier, flipping past pages of bank transfers, IP address logs, chat transcripts between Jessica and Margaret coordinating the smear campaign, and medical reports from my hospital stay confirming the severity of my trauma. Embedded in the chat logs was a message from Margaret that made my stomach churn: “Just push her down the stairs if you have to, Daniel. Once she’s out of the house and the baby is miscarried, the pre-nup defaults to our favor.”
My breath hitched. They hadn't just been hoping I would leave; they had discussed causing physical harm to me and my unborn child with cold, calculated indifference.
"What's our next move?" I asked, my voice steady, devoid of fear, fueled entirely by the protective fury of a mother whose child had been targeted by monsters.

"We don't serve them divorce papers quietly," Victoria replied, leaning forward, her eyes gleaming with predatory legal genius. "We execute a simultaneous financial strike and criminal ambush. Tomorrow night is the annual Vance Global Corporate Charity Gala at the Plaza Hotel—an event where Daniel is scheduled to keynote as CEO of the year, surrounded by all his elite investors, board members, and high-society peers. That is where we pop the champagne, and that is where we pull the rug out from under him permanently."
