Chapter 1 - The Electric Clippers and the Cruel Snip**

The harsh, buzzing hum of the electric clippers cut through the quiet tension of the bridal suite like a mechanical beast. Bianca forcefully shoved the buzzing blades across one side of ten-year-old Livia’s hair, completely ignoring the terrified gasp of the child. A thick, heavy section of long, dark hair dropped lifelessly onto the polished marble floor as Livia recoils in absolute horror, her hands flying up to cover the jagged, half-shaven patch on her head. Before Bianca could swing the clippers back for another pass, Rosalie—the loyal family nanny who had cared for Livia since infancy—immediately stepped in, throwing her own body over the weeping child to shield her from further harm.
“Don’t worry, I trim my dog’s fur regularly,” Bianca sneered, her voice dripping with sadistic amusement as she looked down at the trembling pair, showing zero remorse for the psychological trauma she had just inflicted.
Down the adjoining corridor, Alessandro was reviewing last-minute guest lists in his private study when he heard the faint, muffled sound of a child crying. The sharp sound pulled him instantly out of his concentration. He strode out into the hallway, following the distressed noises straight toward the open doors of the bridal suite. The second he stepped across the threshold, his dark eyes locked onto the terrifying scene: the electric clippers vibrating in Bianca’s hand, the scattered lock of Livia’s hair lying on the floor, and Rosalie desperately comforting the sobbing girl.
“Daddy…. Daddy,” Livia whimpered, stretching her small arms out toward him, her face stained with tears.
Driven by blind, malicious entitlement, Bianca stepped forward, raising the clippers once more as if she intended to finish what she started despite the father’s sudden presence. She thought Alessandro would hesitate, conditioned by weeks of her manipulative gaslighting.
She miscalculated entirely.
Before Bianca’s hand could move another inch, Alessandro crossed the room with terrifying speed. His hand shot out, snatching the electric clippers right out of her grasp with bone-crushing force, and he immediately yanked Livia behind his broad shoulders, pulling her into a protective embrace.
“Touch my daughter again and the wedding is over,” Alessandro snarled, his voice dropping into a lethal, glacial whisper that made the air in the room freeze.

Without breaking eye contact with the stunned, pale-faced bride, Alessandro wound back his arm and threw the heavy electric clippers with all his might directly onto the glass-topped bridal vanity. The machine smashed into the surface, scattering expensive perfumes, powders, and cosmetics in a violent explosion of glass and glittering debris across the floor. The trap was set, and Bianca had no idea that her cruelty had just cost her everything.
