Chapter 4 - The House of Cards Collapses

The sterile exam room erupted into absolute, unmitigated chaos.
"Lies! It’s a conspiracy!" David roared, lunging forward until he was inches away from Dr. Aris’s face, his veins bulging at his temples. "You’re taking bribes! My ex-wife—she must have gotten to you! She’s an architect, she has money connections, she paid you to humiliate me!"
Dr. Aris didn’t flinch. He simply pressed a silent security button under his desk. Within ten seconds, two burly, uniformed clinic security guards stepped into the room, positioning themselves firmly between David and the medical staff.
"Mr. Coleman, if you raise your voice or threaten my staff again, I will have you physically removed from the premises and file criminal charges," Dr. Aris stated, his voice as cold as arctic ice. "The laboratory data is certified, encrypted, and backed by state medical oversight. Take your family and leave."
Arthur Coleman clutched his chest, gasping for air as his wife and daughters swarmed around him, flapping a medical pamphlet like a fan. "My heart... David, what is happening? Who is the father, Allison? Who is the father?!"
Allison was shaking uncontrollably, her designer handbag sliding off the exam table and spilling its contents across the linoleum floor—including several receipts from high-end boutiques paid for by a corporate credit card that didn't belong to David, and a set of keys to a luxury loft in the Back Bay registered under a completely different man’s name.
Megan spotted the keys and lunged forward, snatching them off the floor. Her eyes widened as she read the engraved keychain: Property of Marcus Vance Jr.
"Marcus Vance?" Megan shrieked, her voice cracking with pure hysteria as she whipped her head around to glare at her brother. "Marcus Vance is your primary corporate competitor! He’s the ruthless litigator who handles high-net-worth real estate acquisitions! Allison, you’ve been sleeping with the man trying to bankrupt our family firm?!"
The reality crashed down on David with the force of a freight train. The secret luxury apartment in the Back Bay that he thought Allison was renting with her own modest savings; the sudden, unexplained business trips she took "to visit her mother"; the expensive watches and designer bags he had proudly financed using company discretionary funds—it had all been funneled directly to his fiercest professional and legal rival.
David turned back toward Allison, his face drained of all color, his lips trembling violently. "Is it true?" he whispered, his voice cracking with pathetic vulnerability. "Did you... were you using my money to finance him?"

Allison stopped crying for a split second, looking up with a cold, hardened glare that completely erased the sweet, innocent persona she had worn for six months. "And what if I was, David? You’re arrogant, hollow, and broke. You thought you were trading up for a young trophy, but you were just a convenient ATM while I secured my real future."
With a final, desperate gasp, Arthur Coleman collapsed backward into his wife’s arms, sliding down to the floor as pandemonium took complete control of the clinic. The Coleman family empire, built on arrogance, deceit, and cruelty, had imploded in less than ten minutes.
