Chapter 5 - The Blueprint of Forever

Three months later, the rainy Manhattan streets were bathed in the warm, golden glow of a brilliant autumn sunset.
The penthouse no longer felt like a museum of silence. Music drifted from the living room, where five-year-old Leo was currently building a massive, chaotic tower out of colorful wooden blocks, laughing uncontrollably as it collapsed across the rug.
Nora sat on the plush white sofa, sketching a new architectural blueprint for a children's wing at the local hospital—a project entirely funded by the Moretti Foundation.
Heavy footsteps approached behind her, and strong, warm arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her back against a solid chest. Luca rested his chin gently on her shoulder, breathing in the scent of her vanilla shampoo.
"The contract period expired yesterday, Mrs. Moretti," Luca murmured softly against her ear, a rare, teasing smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Legally speaking, you're free to pack your bags and leave whenever you want."
Nora turned around in his arms, wrapping her hands around his neck, looking deep into his silver-gray eyes where all the ice had long since melted away.
"I checked the architectural blueprints of this house, Mr. Moretti," Nora whispered, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "There's no exit clause for forever."
Luca chuckled—a deep, rich sound that made her heart skip a beat—and pulled her into a fierce, passionate kiss that washed away every remnant of their broken pasts.

From across the room, little Leo ran over, holding up a crooked wooden block tower. "Look, Mom, Dad! I built a skyscraper!"
Luca picked Leo up with one arm, pulling Nora close with the other, forming an unbreakable circle of warmth, healing, and unconditional love right in the heart of Manhattan. The blueprints of their lives were no longer drawn in secret or sorrow; they were built to last an eternity.
